Symbols - What does heaven look like
Plum pudding
Plum pudding or Christmas pudding is an egg shaped desert eaten in the Uk principally at Christmas - although its origins are 'pagan'.
It represents the Egg.
Traditionally the person who cooked the pudding hid a Coin in the pudding and whoever found it was not only lucky but could make three wishes. Often the coin was a Sixpence. The reason a coin was chosen was to make a link with the symbolism of Metal.
The plum simply takes on the symbolism of all Fruit.
