Background
Just for fun with this poem I used the “ Handy Guide for Everyone to Correct spelling and Pronunciation” which includes words which sound the same but differ in spelling and meaning.
It is, I will admit, a bit contrived - so a bit less inspirational than I would have liked, but was intended to use the symbolism of the stag and deer.
A description of the experience
The wild wood
Come into the wild wood, and there steal my heart
My brave stag, my handsome, my proud forest hart
For you are my darling, my sweetheart, my dear
And I am your shy timid meek woodland deer
I’m putty in your hands, like rubber like dough
A little soft creature, a shy forest doe
But together no shyness a noise to be heard
No, - we are definitely not one of the herd!
