A description of the experience
Described in Experiments in mental suggestion – Professor L L Vasiliev
I will quote one more observation, made by Charles Richet in the hospital at Beaujon, apparently using another experimental subject.
One day, whilst sitting with friends at lunch in the hospital’s dining room, (his colleague Landusi, at one time one of the doctors at Beaujon hospital, also being present) Richet declared that he would undertake to put one of the patients to sleep at a distance and make her come to the dining room solely by an aim of will. After a lapse of 10 minutes nobody came.
The experiment was considered unsuccessful. However, in reality it turned out to be otherwise: a few minutes later someone came in to say that a sleeping patient was roaming the corridors and looking for Dr. Richet whom she could not find.
