Experiments in mental suggestion – Professor L L Vasiliev
Summarising the results of all these experiments, we arrive at a complete confirmation of the conclusion already referred to in the last Chapter, arrived at in connection with the experiments conducted according to the method of Academician V. F. Mitkevich: the screening used in our experiments, which prevents the diffusion of electromagnetic waves to a great extent, and over a wide range of wavelengths, including the Cazzamalli radio waves, does not to the slightest degree affect the transmission of mental suggestion from the brain of the sender to that of the percipient.
This is apparent from a simple comparison of the numerical data in Tables 5 and 6 (without screening) with the corresponding data in Tables 8 and 9 (with screening). We will add to this that the kymogram referred to at the beginning of this Chapter (Fig. 19) which gives such striking coincidences between the time of beginning of mental suggestion by the sender with the onset of the response of the recipient, refers to one of the experiments in the third group (where the sender was in a “perfect” screening chamber and the percipient outside it, in the same room).
Is it necessary to emphasize that such a conclusion may be of tremendous theoretical importance? According to our conclusion the Cazzamalli "brain wireless waves," if in fact they exist, have no connection whatever with the phenomena of mental suggestion. It follows that the energetic factor in telepathic transmission must be sought in quite a different region than the electromagnetic spectrum.
