A NIGHT IN SPRING
Tender and loving and full of the spring
is the breeze ;
A fragrant mist in the garden covers the
trees.
Round the verandah the flowers and the
foliage cling.
Slowly their shadows are moved by the
moon of the spring.
Now, in the holders of silver setting alight
Candles, out in the dark by the glimmer
they send
Over the delicate flowers of the cherry
we bend,
Wondering are they asleep in the death of
the night.
