DEAR MR. TURVEY,
A hasty line to say that your prediction has been literally fulfilled. You may remember that in October last, you described a spirit friend by my side. From the description you gave I recognized a very dear friend-a clergyman of the Church of England-who had "passed on” several years previously.
You observed that this friend had been seen by you the day before in your drawing-room. Strange to say, it was my intention to have called upon you the day previous (I think I had promised to do so), but I was prevented from doing so. The day I called I had another engagement but I put it off at the last moment as I felt compelled to call and see you.
After you had described my friend, the clergyman with the big theological works, you said that I should recommence my public work and again take the platform in April, although I had not the slightest intention of doing (so) at the time.
Strange to say, the way opened in a very remarkable manner, and on April 4, I accepted an offer made to me, entered into an engagement and commenced to preach on Sundry, April 21, and have conducted services each Sunday since that date.
Yours truly,
Rev. "X.Y.Z"
