Background
Anyone who says mediums are ‘bad’ needs to read this carefully. She reads his mind, and knows that the flowers are for his dead wife, so switches tack and adds something which would give him comfort, the give-away line is ‘Me thinks they have favorite flowers or special significance to her’, in other words she is not in communication with ELT his deceased wife, she is fishing here with the objective of giving comfort.
A description of the experience
Case Studies Bearing Upon Survival – John F Thomas
D.-Flowers
While in London, for the only time in his life so far as he can recall, Mr. T. had several bouquets of flowers in a hotel room. This was from May 5 to May 8. There were also there three small pressed bluish wild flowers which Florence had enclosed in a letter and which she had picked at Orchard Lake. The flowers in his room Mr. T. had bought in memory of an anniversary and were of three varieties-roses, lilies-of-the-valley, and violets. Including the pressed flowers, there were four kinds.
Record. Mrs. Elliott, May 7, 1927, J. F. T. and secretary.
“You got a lot of flowers in your room.
(That is right.)
Men don’t have flowers in their rooms.
(Well, sometimes they do.)
But you got lots. You got three-four different kinds.
(Yes, there are different kinds.)
She says she can see flowers through your windows. You know, not inside,-through your window.
[Mirror.]
You got some flowers, fairly long small flowers for that lady, and put them in water yourself.
(That's right,)
She wants me to thank you for them. Me thinks they have favorite flowers or special significance to her”
[Lilies-of- the-valley were an especial favorite of E.L.T.)
