A description of the experience

This is from Joyce from one Pennine suburb just west of Sheffield.

In April 1979 she was amazed to find a ball of blue/white light inside her bedroom. She watched in awe as it grew brighter and illuminated the entire room as it hovered just a few feet in front of her, swirling in a misty fashion.

'As it started to spin like a top’ she reported, 'it gave out a humming sound. Then it got faster and faster and as it did so the light became more intense . . . All of a sudden it burst, seeming to scatter thousands of pieces all over the carpet.'

Joyce was so stunned that she searched the bedroom looking for shattered glass - until she realized that this was some form of energy and not a glass bulb.
