A description of the experience
The snake coiled round a T shaped cross is generally the symbol known now as the 'Hung snake'. You can see from this picture an example of the symbol used in another context. The link to the symbol describes its meaning.
We have found only one Pictish stone on which it occurs and even then because the stone is not in good condition it is somewhat difficult to decipher, but there is a definite T and a snake. As the symbol represents a failed kundalini experience, this stone may be a memorial to someone who died of the experience.
