A description of the experience
My Crowded Sanctuary – Clare Sheridan
Dick has since tried to explain me the workings of what he calls the group system. It can more easily be understood by analogy with our social system. We recognize in life what, for a better word, is called class distinction, and to that class we gravitate in which we have our interests and our kinship.
But a much more real groupment exists would we but be conscious of it .
The group (fraternity) to which we belong has its affiliations both on the physical as well as the spiritual planes. This cannot be fully appreciated until one has grasped the essence of existence, which eliminates the ordinary conception of death. There is no death, there is only physically speaking embodiment and disembodiment. This explains the nature of our group.
In the flesh, as in the spirit, we belong to it. Some of us are here, others are ‘there'; it-makes no difference. We contact our group in the physical as in the spiritual-our activities dovetail. Each side can help the other. Appeal can be made to the group from either side.
Meeting with unknown members of our group is brought about if there is a purpose to be achieved. If we are ignorant, we call it chance or accident, or coincidence. Actually there is no such thing; those words might well be eliminated from the language.
