Background
The following thread comes from the Sheffieldforum website, which I look up occasionally for the humour, in amongst the frivolity is some extraordinarily sound common sense ……..every single one of these remedies is based on the application of phosphorus or sulphur in its various incarnations or even maybe reincarnations
- Red matches are based on red phosphorus
- Dandelions contain quite a lot of phosphorus, their flowers may also contain sulphur
- Urine - Urine contains most (94% according to Wolgast) of the so called NPK nutrients excreted by the human body. NPK stands for nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K)
Different strains of virus affect different parts of the body, thus one would expect different products or minerals to need to be used depending on where the wart actually is. The following is from homeopathy. Now
"A wart (verruca) is generally a small, rough tumor, that can resemble a cauliflower or a solid blister. Warts are common, and are caused by a viral infection, specifically by the human papillomavirus (HPV) and are contagious when in contact with the skin of an infected person. It is also possible to get warts from using handtowels or other objects used by an infected person. They may disappear , can last for years and can recur. Warts can appear nearly anywhere on the body and they differ in appearance, size, and shape. Warts are often treated locally. Cauterization (burning the warts) by dermatologists. All such measures, are temporary; and the warts often reappear after some time. In Homoeopathy the medicines are to be taken orally and there is no local application. Homeopathy treats the ailment from within, and permanently. The duration of treatment varies from patient to patient.
- ALLIUM CEPA - A wart between the left shoulder and side of neck begins to pain [this is onion and garlic]
- PHOSPHORUS - Warts on the hands. Burning in a wart, as in a suppurating wound, in the evening, after lying down. Wart on the forehead , itching
- SULPHUR -Inside of the upper lip, near the right commissure of the mouth, a small painless pedunculated wart. Creeping and flying shooting in a wart; its horny surface easily detache
A description of the experience
Sufferer: Ive got 1 on my face, not big just rather not have it, and 1 on my ankle, and several them tiny ones. is there anything you can get or is it just the docs that remove them cheers.
Contributor 1: If you get a match (a red one not one of them safety matches)
lick the end and just rub the red sulphur on the wart, after a few times doing this it falls off and cost a couple of pence for the matches, the wart remover from the chemists is over £10 for the good stuff ….I wouldn't recommend it for genital warts though
Contributor 2: The quickest way of removing warts on your hands is to go shop lifting in Tehran.
Contributor 3: i had one on one finger once....it just vanished itself, mind u i also used to rub dandelion juice on it
Contributor 4: I had a wart on my finger for almost 20 years and nothing would get rid of it. Liquid nitrogen at the docs for months, salicylic acid creams, freezing sprays all useless until .......SUPER GLUE applied every day for 3 months and bingo it's gone!!
Comment: All those yrs u were together and u suffocated it, tut x
Contributor 5: I have been told but not tried it that if you pee in the bath that gets rid of em
Comment: well if it didnt get rid of the warts itd get the missus out of the bath
Contributor 6: Garlic and onion are home remedies for warts, crush a clove of garlic or cut a small onion, and tape it to the wart for a day
Comment – doesn’t it fall off, don’t people notice?
Reply: You’re from sheffield you say 'yes I have a piece of garlic strapped to my knob', if they’re from sheffield too they’ll just say – 'oh yes of course – warts'.
