Rosalind Heywood – The Infinite Hive
My husband and younger son have both had dreams which corresponded with subsequent events and as a child my son seemed to take them as quite normal. I discovered this when he was nine years old. He and his brother came out from school in England to spend their summer holidays with us at Rehoboth, a seaside village in Maryland. On arrival he said casually,
'I know this place. I've dreamt it. I know what's there and there [pointing east and south] but not what's there and there [pointing west and north].'
I replied equally casually, for I never discussed ESP with the children, 'Well, if you do, lead us down to the sea.'
The way to the sea was obvious enough, one walked down-hill, but what was less obvious was our flowered sun umbrella, which was one of hundreds on an enormous beach. Without hesitation he threaded his way between them until he reached it. I followed.
'How did you know that one was ours?' I asked.
I dreamt the pattern on it.' The pattern was very distinctive and like no other on the beach.
'Do you often dream ahead?'
'Oh, yes, it's very useful at school.' He again said this as indifferently as he would have said that it was useful to be able to swim if you fell out of a boat.
Chance apart, on the face of it this dream seems to have been precognitive, but it might have been due to telepathic interaction with me - we were very close - for I had already explored the parts of Rehoboth he seemed to know.
