The Jacques Romano Story – Dr Berthold Eric Schwartz
Romano predicted Mussolini's apprehension. At the time (Sunday, July 11th, 1943), Romano was at a party in the company of Mr. and Mrs. Denis P. S. Conan Doyle (the son of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, author of Sherlock Holmes), the Duchess de Talleyrand, Princess Nina Mdvani, Lady Montague, and Madame Yen. In the course of a conversation on psychic phenomena Romano told the guests,
'I just felt something. One week from now you will hear it on the radio, Sunday, July l8th, between 9:00 and 10:00 A.M. There will be an announcement of Mussolini's arrest by the Italian government.'
It happened just as he said. The news came over the radio about 9:30 A.M. on the l8th of July, 1943. He felt the plotters and knew it would happen."
This prediction was confirmed in a letter from Denis P. S. Conan Doyle:
"I recall very well your July 11th, 1943, remarkably accurate prophecy, the extraordinary fulfillment of which, even to the date, is indeed a testimonial to your remarkable powers.",
a memorandum of Romano's written at the time, and a personal interview with Madame Yen.
