Ok...so, after I found out I was pregnant about 3 weeks ago...I began having trouble sleeping. I'm normally an insomniac...and have been prescribed meds for it which I can no longer take - being pregnant.
Occasionally, I "hallucinate." ….. This is always at night after I've been asleep for at least an hour. I end up waking up the next day...and bits and pieces of it come back to me throughout the day..
Here are the two weirdest examples:
I own 2 guinea pigs. One is really pregnant and due to give birth any day now. Before I go to sleep...I give them both some hay to chew on through the night and then I turn out the lights to go to sleep. Apparently, in the middle of the night...I woke up crying. Sobbing. I even remember sitting up and burying my head in my hands. I got really mad at my SO because I couldn't sleep. Apparently, I was convinced that he maliciously changed the mattress pad to guinea pig hay (which is less comfortable...not that I would know). I was really angry with him and kicked him out of the bedroom...he slept on the couch. He actually never switched anything...but I yelled and cried at him a lot.
Second, I got back from a Halloween party really late one night and went straight to bed. I had a weird dream/hallucination that one of the guys that was at the party had followed us home....gotten wrapped in my mattress pad...and was thrown on the ground beside my bed. Then, a man wearing an upside-down banana split costume was trying to walk backwards up the stairs (I don't have stairs)...but I got so afraid that I yelled for Kevin to come back to the bedroom and talk to me/tell me what costume every single guest at the party wore that night so I would calm down.
