Type of Spiritual Experience

Background

‘Wind’ is an ongoing experience of many with spiritual experiences.  Many experience gentle sensations of ‘wind’.  This is because there is a continual flow of spiritual energy from the centre down to us as output and then back from us to the centre again as input.  Thus our thoughts and prayers etc go up and may be experienced as ‘wind’, whilst  intuition, inspiration, healing energy and so on come ‘down’ towards us and also may be experienced as a blast of air.  Sometimes quite strong gusts.

This is where we get such expressions as ‘the breath of life’.

A description of the experience

The Wisdom of John Pordage [editor Arthur Versluis]

The outgoing emanation of both eye and heart [of God at the centre of the egg] manifests as a sweet, pleasant, outflowing life or power like a breath or gust or gust of air, conveyed through [the Trinity] as the golden oil is transmitted through the golden pipe ….

The source of the experience
