Monkeynuts - Hi, has anybody ever experienced this.

It happened to me the other night in bed, i couldn't sleep
It was 2am and all of a sudden i was paralysed in my bed and my body started floating up to the ceiling but i could see myself my son and husband asleep in my bed below me, i then fell back into my body, i was trying to call my husband but the words wouldn't come out. I started floating up to the ceiling again and again fell into my body.
It happened one more time then i woke up. I could here a crowd of ppl in the bedroom while it was happening.

I.m terrified to go to sleep at night now.
Anybody ever experience this??

Reply Zazmom - Really interesting topic. The experience you describe is almost exactly the same detail as what happened to my husband about 10 years ago. He says he floated up to the ceiling and could see us lying together in the bed below. He said that he could see things from an angle that he had never before, like down the back of the tv from a height. When he reached the ceiling he got afraid that he would float thru it and out the roof and at the point jumped back in his body. I defo believe that your soul is separate from your body and his experience reinforces that for me. My husband however is still sceptical and even though felt completely real, says that nobody knows the power of the mind and wonders if it was a hallucination. Who knows. But obviously it is more common that people think if a few people are on here with the exact same experience

Reply Olina - Hi monkey nuts,I also had an out of body experience, it happened to me over 20 years ago, I was living in a very old house on the south side which I know was haunted as I had many unusual things happen to me while I was living there. The bedroom was pitch black, you wouldn't,t have seen your hand if you held it in front of your face. I found myself rising backwards up out of my bed in the early hours of the morning, I just kept going up and back towards the window. Although the room was pitch black , I could now see around the room and was terrified to see myself and my then infant son fast asleep in my bed. I instinctively felt that if I kept moving I would move through the window and that I would not have any control over what happened to me after that. I screamed in my mind because I could not make any sound "put me down", and straight away I woke up back in my body. I didn't,t hear any voices at all like you did. I was absolutely terrified by the whole experience. I was afrade to go asleep every night, but thankfully it only ever happened to me that one time. I have never come across anyone else that it happened to, and I can see the scepticism in some people's faces when I talk about it. But it was a real experience and it proved to me that our soul and our physical bodies are two separate entities, I existed outside of my body, so we definitely go somewhere when our physical body dies. I was grateful for the experience for that reason. Not many people get to have that kind of insight.
