Type of Spiritual Experience
Background
Part of this may have been real. There may have been enough built up current to generate a real flame
A description of the experience
His first odd experience was in 1972. Returning from school, he saw a strange effect coming out of the ground. It was shaped like a trident pointing vertically and ‘rising slowly upwards’. It was blue, ‘similar to the flame of a bunsen burner', and the three Prongs and handle of this glowing fork were 'composed of square-shaped particles with regular gaps between them'.
The force 'glistened' but was ‘more solid than a flame'. In fact it was a sort of glowing energy that was 'bleeding' upwards into the air.
One thing Mr Harris noted during these events was how his mind became oddly calm and subdued. Everything around him slowed to a crawl. Time itself almost seemed to stop. This peculiar effect on the consciousness of a witness is very common in such weird experiences.
……..This idea is, of course, quite consistent with Keel's window theories. We can only speculate why this altered state happens, but an energy leaking from the ground in the hills – almost like slow lightning in reverse - well fits one theory about how windows activate. This suggests that they are conduits through which electrical energy stored within the earth itself passes into the atmosphere. If it charges the surrounding air and ionizes the molecules this effect can create glowing UFOs and has a physical power that can produce real symptoms in a witness - such as a tingling sensation, hair standing on end or other effects that might define proximity to a charged energy field.
