Middleton, Lorna - Prophesies the shooting in his ancestral home of Earl Fortesque of Gloucester
Identifier
022954
Type of Spiritual Experience
Background
It is worth emphasising the comment made by Grenhouse “A prediction that someone will be fired upon in America is not statistically significant, but murder in England is far more rare.” In the 1960s it was very very rare.
A description of the experience
Premonitions: A leap into the Future – Herbert B Greenhouse
The wealth of predictions in every area may stem from Lorna Middleton’s creativity. Miss Middleton is a dance and piano instructor and has been associated with the theatre all her life. Inheriting her psychic sense from her mother, her prophetic range is unlimited, covering everything from falling bridges (she predicted the collapse of the Silver Bridge at Point Pleasant, West Virginia, on December 8th , 1967 ) to upheavals in nature.
Miss Middleton's subliminal consciousness may see the world as a stage, for many of her predictions come in dramatic form (and in this she is not alone-prophetic dreams often appear as drama). On February 5th, 1970 she hurried off a note to the Central Premonitions Registry with this warning:
"Someone is going to be shot. Someone is going to be shot."
Three days later three persons were shot in the ancestral home of Earl Fortesque in Gloucester. A prediction that someone will be fired upon in America is not statistically significant, but murder in England is far more rare.
