Another lady emailed me in response to a newspaper article:
I read your article in the newspaper about near-death experiences with great interest.
Everybody pooh-poohs my story because when mine happened I was only a child of six, that was in 1948. The experience is as clear today as it was then. I was very ill with pneumonia and apparently there is a time of crisis when you either come through or you die.
I remember being in bed, with my mum by my side and suddenly looking up at the window and on the window sill there was something I can only explain as looking like the Sindy doll of today and she was beckoning to me. I followed her and we were in a very bright beautiful tunnel and at the end all I could see was either sunshine or a brilliant light.
Suddenly I could hear my mum calling me not to go and I came back and obviously recovered. This experience has given me some comfort when recently my mother died suddenly and I just hope she had the same feelings. If that is dying then I certainly have no fear of it. I hope this is of some interest to you.
