Mrs. K. wrote to me:- "I feel I must relate an amazing experience which I once had. We were farming near Wellington, and I had some chickens in an outbuilding on the farm. One very hot noon-day I was tapping water into a watering can to take to my chickens.

I was expecting my first child and was seven months pregnant. As I was about to move away carrying the can, I saw a robed golden presence standing next to me and he said .- "Don't take the water to the chickens, call the servant."

I thought to myself '- “Am I getting a little crazy because of my pregnancy?" Anyway I went through the gate and the golden presence walked beside me telling me not to go, but to send the servant. I ignored him and continued towards the outbuildings.

He suddenly stepped in front of me and would not allow me to pass. Putting the watering can down I went back to the house and asked the servant to take the water to the chickens. I sat on a low wall and watched her take the can; I was deeply puzzled.

A few moments later she dashed out of the building, her skirts lifted up and her cap jerked from her head, and waving it in her hand she came screaming terrified and shuddering towards me.

"What is the matter?" I shouted as out of breath and trembling she explained that a huge cape cobra had been steeping under the water receptacle and as she moved it, the snake flung itself up in a fright and struck at her but just missed her feet.  She almost leapt into the air in order to escape from the building.
