Background
Some people in NDEs go to a sort of ‘holding area’. It tends to be about as close as possible to their idea of paradise - often characterised by being a place of great beauty, with brilliantly glowing colours, apparently warm and often with other worldly but wonderful music.
Often it is a green place, with lush grass and thousands of flowers, with brilliant blue sky and wooded, warm, no houses, the occasional palace or temple, sometimes mountains or hills, occasionally a gentle warm wind. It is a virtual world constructed for us - a holding area with which we would be familiar - a sort of virtual familiar world with which we can identify and feel the most at home.
A description of the experience
Margot Grey – Return from Death
At some point I suddenly found myself in this beautiful place. I was greeted by such warmth and happiness that it was utter bliss. I was in a beautiful landscape, the flowers, trees, the colours were indescribable, not at all like the colours you see here. The peace and joy were overpowering. I felt warm and glowing. There was a blinding light, but it was not harsh and did not hurt my eyes. The beauty of the landscape is beyond description. Somewhere I heard the most wonderful music and there was an organ playing as well. I felt embraced by love, it's beyond description.
