.......Later in Tunis, on a warm night of the full moon, Ibn ‘Arabi went to rest in the cabin of a boat anchored in the port.
A feeling of uneasiness awakened him. He went to the edge of the vessel while the crew was still plunged in sleep. And he saw coming toward him, dry shod over the waters, someone who approached and talked with him for a moment and then quickly withdrew into a grotto in the mountainside some miles distant.
The next day in Tunis a holy man unknown to him asked him ‘Well what happened last night with Khidr?’
