MASTER WOLMYONG (c 742-765)
Song of Tusita Heaven
At the request of King Kyongdok, Master Wolmyong composed this song in 760 to remove two 'suns' that had appeared in the sky.
On the Dragon Tower I sing a song of scattering flowers and send a petal to the blue cloud. In place of my sincere wish, go and welcome the Great Sage in the Tusita Heaven.
O flowers, strewn today
With a song. Since you attend
My honest mind’s command
You serve Maitreya!
