Background
In other words one can give the appearance of an object disappearing by ceasing its activity [and thus the perception thread] and if it is to be located in the same space restarting the functions again.
If it is to be moved to a new location, then the atoms in the new location which form that entity, take on the identity and the aggregate identifier of the entity. In other words nothing actually physically moves in the matrix, all that happens is that messages are sent to co-ordinates in the matrix indicating that the atoms there must take on the functions and identifier of the atoms of the old co-ordinates. It is extremely similar to the idea of images crossing a screen, it is not the image that has actually 'moved', but the pixels have changed their characteristics as the image moves across the screen.
A description of the experience
What Is the Fourth Dimension? By Charles H. Hinton
Properties of Matter in the Fourth Dimension
Let us now assume that instead of lines, very thin threads were attached to the framework: they on passing through the fluid plane would give rise to very small spots. Let us call the spots atoms, and I regard them as constituting a material system in the plane. …….. no one of these spots must suddenly cease to exist. That is, the thread which by sharing in the general motion of the system gives rise to the moving point, must not break off before the rest of them. If all the lines suddenly ended this would correspond to a ceasing of matter.
