Rosalind Heywood – The Infinite Hive
When staying at the British Embassy in Paris I had a similar experience several times ….. I simply felt, as I walked through the upstairs rooms which led into one another, that I was passing through a crowd. What kind of a crowd it was I had no idea.
Later on I learnt that another visitor had also felt aware of a crowd upstairs and, in addition, had had the unpleasant visual hallucination of being ferociously glared at by a filthy ragged dishevelled woman.
I have since heard that an enraged crowd was reported to have swept through the upper floors of the house during the Revolution, and to have thrown an unfortunate girl out of an upstairs window.
