There are striking anecdotes in the field of age-regression.
I have regressed three overtly right-handed deep trance stammerers to the day when they 'first learned to write' and found each of them anxious, or even agitated with an imaginary pencil in the left hand and apparently being instructed to use the right.
It is a well-known neurological belief-based on some impressive correlative evidence -that one cause of stammering is the interference with brain function involved in being made right-handed when we are born left-handed.
