Case No. 379 - Miss Marion Price said (in litt.);

In August, 1957 I was hurrying and fell down our long flight of stairs. On the way down I experienced a quick, review of all the chief events of my life. There seemed plenty of time and no hurry, and it seems to me that someone or something asked me if I wanted to go on living? I was quite myself and ... said a definite 'Yes!'

Then this other (whatever it was) told me to strike out with my right arm, which I did, as it were, swam round the bend to the bottom of the stairs, falling on my right side. I was very shaken and the doctor put a stitch in my head.

It occurred to me afterwards that if I had not followed the injunction and struck out to the right, I should have struck the wall before the bend with my full weight on the top of my head, which would probably have killed me. What amazed me afterwards was to think of the short space of time I must have been in actually falling, and yet the clarity of the life-review and the clear question and answer on the way down."
