A description of the experience
From Death Bed Visions – Sir William Barrett
On November 2nd and 3rd 1870, I lost my two eldest boys, David Edward and Harry, from scarlet fever, they then being three and four years old respectively.
Harry died at Abbot's Langley fourteen miles from my home at Aspley.
David died the following day at Aspley.
About an hour before the death of David he sat up in bed, and pointing to the bottom of the bed said distinctly,
'There is Harry calling to me.'
Of the truth of this fact I am sure, and it was heard also by the nurse.
