Croiset the Clairvoyant - Jack Harrison Pollack
another-example of Croiset's powers was the case of traveling salesman, Mr. E.J.t.V., of Hengelo, who visited the paragnost with a friend in early February 1949. On March 4th he sent the following statement to Professor Tenhaeff:
"I applied for a job in Veghel in North Brabant, and I asked Mr. Croiset during our visit whether he thought that I had a chance of getting it. Mr. Croiset answered no, that my future job would be in the neighbourhood of Rotterdam.
He said that he saw ships, cranes, and so forth. He said that I would represent a liquor-manufacturing firm named De Zwarte Kip [The Black Chicken] or something like that.
"Several weeks later, I answered a blind newspaper ad and applied for a job. There was no firm name or address in the ad, only a box number. I hadn't the slightest idea whose ad it was. I was very surprised when I received an answer to my letter from Van Olffen, the liquor manufacturer in Rotterdam whose trade-mark was De Zwarte Kip. I was asked to come for an interview. On February 26th , I was appointed a representative of De Zwarte Kip in Rotterdam, just as Mr. Croiset had predicted."
