Benzatropine is also known as benztropine, is an anticholergenic marketed under the trade name Cogentin which is used in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease. It is not pure atropine, but is a combination of the tropine portion of the atropine molecule and the benzohydryl portion of diphenhydramine. It is its side effects, that tell us it it is pretty well identical with atropine, which are principally anticholinergic:
