Type of Spiritual Experience
Background
A description of the experience
Many people believe that in spiritualist experiments, the dependence of spirits on the attendants is absolute.
This is a serious mistake.
The first confrontational experiment was between Dr. Pierron and Bach.
Dr. Pierron, wishing to hear the spirit of this master of music play, wanted to take a true tone of command to bring him here, and used this sentence:
- Bach, come and play something for us.
Seeing that this request remained unanswered, he insisted in the same imperative sense and said:
- Bach, I want you to come and play.
As before, no phenomena occurred.
Perhaps realizing that the process put into use was wrong, he became softer and expressed his desire.
- Bach, would you like to play us a song?
Immediately the spirit manifested its presence and began one of its characteristic pieces.
Coincidence? No, certainly not.
This was proof that Bach's completely independent spirit did not want to give in to a categorical injunction, but required, in turn, that requests with greater finesse should be used.
