Pioglitazone/metformin (also known by the brand names Actoplus Met, Piomet and Politor) is combination of two oral diabetes medications pioglitazone and metformin. The two oral antihyperglycemic agents with different mechanisms of action are used for glycemic control in patients with diabetes mellitus type 2.
