Emotions examples
Emotions are the output of the function of Emotion. Emotions thus also are Contrasting and have Intensity. In the tables that follow I have provided some example emotions. The list is not intended to be exhaustive.
The table is different from the one I used to show Example Emotions with their Intensity. In the table here I have tried to add a lot more examples of feelings to show just how many emotions we seem to possess. What is also rather interesting on analysis is that we seem better at finding words for and expressing the 'negative' emotions than we do the positive ones
Out of interest I have also shown how the Greeks used gods to personify these functions – the Greek god is shown in the extra column of the tables.
In reading the table you should be able to see that for each emotional output which is generated there will be a function of Emotion that generates that emotional output.
